WELCOME TO THE ULTIMA EVOLUTION BUILD DIARY FOR GERARD ALMON

The Ultima GTR and Evolution cars from Ultima Sports in the UK have quite a history, with many enthusiast around the globe building their own ultimate race car for the road. I could not find any resources for car enthusiast in South Africa wanting to build an Ultima, so I decided that I will create my own build diary, hopefully helping other Ultima builders in South Africa and abroad by sharing my experience.

This is the car with picture courtesy of Ultima Sports UK. Waiting time is usually 24 weeks from date of order which means I was originally looking at starting mid-December 2017. Unfortunately there were some delays, but everything included in my first order was successfully delivered in May 2018.

Below is a newer photo of my car as I was getting towards the end of the build. The aim was to fire up the engine for the 1st time before 2020. Many people say that any project taking longer than three years will never be completed, so the race is on to ensure everything gets completed before three years from the start of the project.
